Greening Human Behavior

When:  Mar 24, 2010 from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM (ET)
Associated with  Mid-Atlantic

If going green is so easy and straightforward, why isn’t everybody doing it? Truth be told, it takes a great deal of inertia to get individuals, teams and entire organizations to change their habits and behaviors and make more environmentally friendly choices. We’re all coming from a different place in the green spectrum… so what tools do we have to change behavior at an organizational level in our workplaces and improve practices over time? During this session, Leigh Stringer, LEED AP Vice President, HOK Advance Strategies will share some exciting research (Arizona State University, Oberlin College) and practical examples (WalMart, Adobe, Facebook) on why people go green and what makes them more likely to change their behavior over the long term. This presentation is limited to 50 so don't delay!
Key points include:

1. Construct a framework for a green organization

2. What are the basics of “green” change management

3. Summarize the five major influences of human behavior
