The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CoreNet Global 2022 Spring Golf Outing will take place at the world-renowned architect Arthur Hills, Blue Mash.
Designed by world-renowned architect Arthur Hills, Blue Mash features a mix of links-style, parkland, wooded and water holes. There are no forced carries, so it is manageable for beginners and high-handicap golfers alike, although low-handicap players will find the course’s length, strategic bunker placement and devilishly well-protected greens offer plenty of challenge.
About the Outing:
Our day begins at 8:00AM with check-in and a few warm-up shots at the driving range or on the putting green. Foursomes participate in a shotgun at 9:00AM and a complimentary breakfast. Lunch and beverages will be provided. An optional cash bar reception begins at 3:30PM.
2022 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):
What social distancing guidelines are Blue Mash Golf Course enforcing?
The guidelines are based upon recommendations from local, state, federal governments, and the PGA Back2Golf phasing. Due to the fluid situation, these guidelines may change and a final set of guidelines may be created for this event as we get closer. Masks must be worn in the clubhouse/restrooms where the number of people allowed to enter at the same time is kept to a minimum. The veranda is closed for outings due to social distancing requirements.
What precautions are Blue Mash Golf Course Staff Members taking?
Staff members are required to: wear a face covering in any public areas and inside the Club House; maintain (6) feet away from other staff and guests as much as possible; wear gloves while handling food and beverage.
Is the tournament this year going to be a Shotgun start with multiple groups on a tee? If so, what precautions are to be taken with multiple groups on a tee?
Yes, there will be a shotgun start. There will be an A group on the tee and B group on the tee. We ask that Group B hang back at least 6 feet from the A Group until they leave the tee. The same practice should be applied throughout the round if there are multiple groups on a tee box at the same time.
During play, what precautions should players take?
Please keep 6 feet distance on the teeing area and the putting green as players will be in the closest proximity to the other players.
Do I have the choice to walk if I prefer to not ride in the cart?
Absolutely! Players who are comfortable walking and carrying their own clubs, please do so. You can also use the golf cart as a “caddy” to transport your golf bag while you walk to your ball.
Can I request a cart to utilize for myself?
Yes, however there are only a certain number of carts that Blue Mash is providing. If you prefer your own cart, please let the special events committee know as soon as possible, so that we can accommodate.
During play, what are some changes/precautions that Blue Mash Golf Course have taken?
Flagsticks will not be touched or removed in any circumstances. Restroom facilities are open at the Clubhouse. Golf Carts are being fully sanitized following each use and again in the morning when they are staged for the day. High touchpoint surfaces in the Club House including restrooms, door handles, dining tables and counters are being disinfected. Hand sanitizer and sanitizing stations have been set up around the Club House.
Will we be able to have a meal and awards reception?
Yes, there will be an outdoor grill for lunch at the turnaround. The post golf reception is optional and there will be a cash bar at the club house.
